Experts,
I couldnot attach a picture. I'm stuggling to find a good way of generating a good mesh for the knife edge seal region with honey coomb present. I'm using ICEM blocking technique. But I notice, I'm not able to get much control over mesh density and my mesh is becoming large enough. I attach a picture showing you the case. Please let me is there a way by which I can have fine mesh in the tooth gap region and coarse mesh in the pocket region. Honey coomb mesh got finner mesh at the top Thanks in advance Mustafa |

You have to make some additional splits, maybe auxiliary points and curves, and then carefully associate your block topology model with seal geometry.
There are several meshing laws available in ICEM CFD for controlling mesh density on each edge. Have a look at "Meshing Tutorial". Best regards, hdj |
