Default Back up files during a simulation

Hi, I am running a very fine mesh more than 3 million nodes. My problem is that everytime I change the definition file while the run is in progress CFX writes a backup file. I am also writing a backup every 50 iterations to be on the safe side. I would like for CFX to not write this back up file when the change is made in the def file. This is because a lot of time is spent in writing the backup file which is of a huge size. Regards, new bie

Hi, I think that's not possible, unless there's any hidden expert parameter for that. The documentation says: "Before the next outer loop iteration begins, a backup file named iteration number.bak is written to the working directory."

Hi,

It is possible to stop writing the backup files. In the solver manager, choose edit/options, then SolverManager/Miscellaneous. You have an option to stop writing the backup on edits.
