The convergence strategy for a cavitation comp.?
Dear all
In Tascflow what's the appreciated convergence strategy for a case with cavitation consideration? My case is a water jet impeller with diameter 147mm, 3 blade, and operating RPM 7800. The total pressure at the jet intake is estimated 4.5E+5 pa and mass flow at nozzle is about 50 kg/sec. A steady non-cavitating computation result is fed as inital guess. It seems that reducing fluid time step by 1/10 even 1/1000 can only improve a little and just add 5 step running then numerically overflow. What things else we can do to make this computation converge? Thanks first. |
Re: The convergence strategy for a cavitation comp
Sorry to add something! cavitation model is CEV for attatched cavition sheet is most likely to happen and the cavitation bubble is the result of sudden pressure reduction to value under vaporization point. The far field temperature is 300K.
