Any one solve this parallel problem?

On install of a new parallel setup on Windows Xp, I get a Terminal readThe handle is invalid error. Any advice short of reformating the computers?

Thanks!

Assuming that you have rsh setup correctly (see the documentation for how to test this), then Service Pack 2 for Windows XP introduced a rsh problem that would produce this message. The easiest solution is to install the latest release (CFX-10). Mike

Hi,

CFX runs well in parallel under WinXP. The MPICH for Windows option is as good as CFX in parallel under Linux in my experience.

Here is the follow up fix for this error. Anys support guys presented this solution:

Installation Root = C:\Progra~1\Ansys~1\CFX\CFX-%v

should replace:

Installation Root = C:\Program Files\Ansys Inc\CFX\CFX-%v

on anybody that is a slave.

No spaces in the path for the slave... amazing.

Thanks,

Erich
