Fluent or CFX if Ma >5 ?

Hi,
If I want to simualte a case with Ma >5, which software is better, Fluent or CFX? Or another one? Thanks. yflin |

Hi,
For most gases (including air) you will get dissociation of the gas molecules at those sort of speeds. CFX has no models for this behaviour. I don't know about Fluent. If your gas does not dissociate then CFX can do it. Glenn Horrocks |

CFX can do dissociation if you have an appropriate reaction mechanism.
