Hi, All,

If I apply mesh adaption in a steady state simulation, can I use the results as a initial condition for transient calculations?

Thanks!

John

Hi,

If your .def file (the trasient .def file, in your case) contains a mesh different from the Initial Values File (the steady state .res file with mesh adaption), I think you'll get a message saying that mesh on .def file will be ignored and the Solver will use the .res mesh. But I'm not sure.

Try, and tell us how it works : )

Regards,

Rui

In this case you can interpolate the mesh on to the definition file.

thanx rajit
