Particle tracking-----out of domain
Hi, all
I just started working on particle tracking simulation. When I terminated a run, I found in cfx-post that the track lines go accross the wall of domain. Parts of lines are outside of domain at the locations where flow has a sharp turn. Could someone please suggest why this can happen? And how to obtain a particle tracer residence time? Thanks! Gab |
Re: Particle tracking-----out of domain
The problem I mentioned seems caused by too big time step as well as poor convegence. The results is ok now.
Again, how to show particle tracer residence time curve using particle tracking results? Thanks! Best regards! Gab |
Re: Particle tracking-----out of domain
just color your particle tacing with variable tracking time

Re: Particle tracking-----out of domain
you can export your particle tracking times to external graphic software and make a plot of residence time.
