I'm modeling a centrifugal fan.
I have made the rotor with TurboGrid
I have mesh the volute with hexa elements mesh.
Inlet massflow and outlet static pressure=0.
Turbulence model is SST and autotimescale.
Full rotor with Frozen rotor interface. No gap for the lekeage of flow between rotor (rotating) and inlet belt (static)
Results are not according with real performance of the fan,
Convergenece is not good.
How can I improve the results to get more accurate results??
Thank you

My research is an study to know how close are simulations
to the real performance of a centrifugal fan.
The aim is to validate CFX as a final desing tool.

hi

CHANGE UR B.C. PRESSURE AT OUTLET AND MASS FLOW AT INLET.

ALL CHECK THE MESH...

Do you model fan in steady state or transient run? Bad convergence may be caused by unsteady flow. It's also important to check mesh quality.

I think my hexa-mesh is good.
I will try to run a transient simulation to see if the
residuals improve.

I think instead of mass at inlet give mass at outlet n static pressure at inlet. any ways mass flow rate should me same from inlet 2 outlet.

I have obtain enough good residuals puttin a high time scale factor.

I have simulated the impeller complete with the volute. Residuals and convergence are very bad,
and results very diferent from the results of the
simulation with one blade passage for the rotor and volute.

Do you know why??

I think where you specified boundary conditions is important. whatever you specified is standard. Try to run it in steady state first. Then switch over to transient mode. This may solve sometimes

Dear Sir,

We are an old hand in importing and distributing of HVAC systems with a chain of retail stores in most of Iran cities based in Tehran. Now I'm writing on behalf of our managers who are interested in handling a sole agency for a loyal company with high quality and fully guaranteed products, as you know your brand is not well-known here but if the quality up to standard and the prices be competitive for your sole agencies, we have the power to create a good market for all your products and make your brand famous here. In the first step of cooperation is it possible we have your catalogue and price list? Also we would like to have your members of board if it is possible. I'm always available to offer you further information about our company and promise you personal attention when ever you require it. Many thanks for your kind cooperation in advance and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
