How to give Input Velocity in a 3-D cuboidal pipe

hi, I would like to know how can I give intake velocity in a 3-D cuboidal pipe. I am facing a problem as velocity can be given in 3-D on an area. And no area is present at the inlet of a 3-D Cuboidal pipe as it is hollow. Pls tell me how can I give velocity to the fluid as well as it can move inside the pipe in Ansys.

Do you have any experimental velocity profile at inlet? I assume intake = inlet to pipe

If so, try using profile boundary condition. Check user manual to see how to initialise profile data & use it for boundary condition etc.

If not, try using uniform velocity for start.
