Hi, I am dealing with a multiphase eulerian and eulerian problem, where i need to specify same surface as inlet for componet A and outlet for componet B. How to do it? Thanks in advance

Hi shyam

if u need to specify velocity for both components on the same surface of the inlet , then u have to specify the volume fraction of each components , for eg u know the superficial velocity of the both componets , then specify the average velocity in inlet ie avg vel of componet A= super. vel. of comp. A/ volume fraction of comp.A volume fraction of comp A= super.vel. of comp. A/(super.vel. of comp. A+super.vel. of comp. B)

Thanks for your interest, I understand that what you suggested is for two inlets for different componets. But I have to send one componet into the domain and the other, out of the domain at specified flow rates on the same surface. Thanks in advance

Is this a steady flow problem? Specifying velocity profile with opposite direction may be workable. I'll normally break the surface into two parts during the meshing stage.
