Hi,CFX Guys

For a transient run, is it possible to monitor the average value on a plane which is not a boundary face?

Regards!

Andrew

In Solver Manager? The answer is no. You can only monitor a point value when the solver is runing.

In Post? The answer is yes as long as you have defined your transient files that you wishes to save in Pre.

Thanks a lot, TB.

Could you please explain in details how to do this in Post? I am trying to use this function to get tracer curve at an internal location of a reactor.

Best regards!

Andrew

there're some examples in user manual. Search for command 'load','timestep','massflowAve','export' etc in user manual.... You can automate the process using command window (look for icon on top of Post GUI)....

Post used PERL language.... It should be pretty easy to learn....

or you can use the x-y graph supplied by POST. I normally exported everything out from POST and plotted my graph in Matlab/Excel anyway. It's up to you to decide which way suit you the best.
