Hi All, I have one question regarding Physical time step selection. I want to use small physical time step for first few iterations and bigger time step after cetain no.of iterations in a single run. Is it possible to do like in Transient simulation?

Thank you.

Regards, siv

Yes, simply type in a list of timesteps you want to use.

eg: 0.2 [s], 0.2 [s], 0.2 [s], 1.0 [s], 1.0 [s], ...

I think there is a short form as well.

0.2*3 [s], 1.0 [s], ...

Hello Neale i want to use in steady state simulation not in transient simulation. In transient simulation its possible but i dont know how to define for steady state simulations.

Hi, it is possible with CEL expression. Take a look at function "citern" in CFX help.

Best regards

Hi,

The method Neale introduced works for both transient and steady state problems.

Regards!

Or, you can Edit Run in Progress, by this way you can increase physical timestep whenever you feel you should do so (sure you need to be present to do this, ^_^)
