Animation in CFX

Dear users,

I would like to animate the flow at different iterations (say, 100th,200th,500th etc.) So i saved *.bak (backup) files at different iterations. Now, How to make animation using these *.bak files.

I read in CFX-post manuals that animation is possible only in the particular *.bak/*.res files. But it does not deal with how to connect different files (*.bak/*.res) in a single animation.

Any suggestions are most welcome, thanx n advance.

Post doesn't give high quality animation anyway. I suggest you to load these bak files and then output your results in png format. After you have done this, use external software to create animation. I remember an old post by Michael Bo Hansen that give detailed info about how to do that. Try searching for ANSYS CFX community forum....I'm pretty sure he had posted a pdf link before.

If the solution doesn't change with iteration loop, you will see no change in animation anyway.
