I'm just planning to simulate the flow in porous medium with CFX 10.0 . The fluid is moving slow and assumed to be laminar. In CFX 10.0, when defining the porous domain, the "isotropic loss model" was used. However i've no idea about how to set values of 'permeability coefficient Kperm'and 'resistance loss coefficient Kloss'.Actually i'm not familiar with the fluid dynamics of flow in porous medium. It will be very kind of you to give your opinions on this problem. And any advice is welcome.
