hi, I am user of cfx-5.7,plz anyone tell me about porous sub domain.

I'm also working on the porous subdomain. not a pro. but basically i used directional loss model specifying permeability (KPerm) streamwise and transverse of streamwise...i do not use the inertial loss.

my flow is of course stream wise (X=1, Y=1 and Z=0) and my transverse permeability (Zdirection) is one order lower (e-07 /m^2) than my stream wise directoin (X&Ydirection) (e-08 /m^2). but my flow does not go transversely as much as i expected it to be...maybe it is because one order is not much.

hi, thank u for u r response,can u tell me someting about isotropic loss model.my Kperm is 3e-6 m2.

Kiran: think isotropic loss model means that ur resistance to flow is same irregardless of which direction the flow is headed

thak u can u tell me something abt rotary domain.i tried turbo mode in cfx post.read the tutorial but i am not able to rotate the domain and see the simulation.if u know something about it plz tell me.
