Problems on running cfx in parallel

I try to run cfx5.7 in a supercomputing center. The hardware is IBM Power 4, the system is aix 5.2. They don't support pvm. So I use loadleveler to submit my command:

cfx5solve -def xxxx.def -s 1.2 -start-method "MPICH Local Parallel" -part 10

After the cfx finished the partitioning, it stopped.

An error has occurred in cfx5solve: | | | | The CFX-5 solver exited with return code 1. No results file has | | been created.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong here?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Problems on running cfx in parallel

The command should be okay if your machine support MPICH...

1. check if you have 10 unused par_proc license. 2. check if you have other MPI driver that work for your IBM machine. Maybe talk to your system adminstrator first. I remember that I have some problem using PVM in my SGI machine and admin has installed a SGI MPI driver to solve this problem. 3. try a serial run with the same def file and see if that solve okay.

Good luck
