How to make the solver of CFX run automate

Hi

I want to know the flow field under different Re. I just want to change the inlet velocity, and use the same model. How to make the solver of CFX run automate? Can anybody give me some guidance or instructions?

I am using CFX5.6-Linux

Thank you very much in advance.

All you need to do is write a batch file which modifies the .def file using the following command.

"C:\Program Files\Ansys Inc\CFX\CFX-5.7.1\bin\cfx5cmds" -write -definition run1.def -text Inlet_Velocity.txt

The text file is just ccl file which contains the new solver parameters i.e. the new inlet velocity.

James, Is there a way to write out the monitor points as a file i.e as *.csv automatically ?

I think there is a command which can do this, its worth checking in the batch commands section of the manual. Failing that, you could just do it using CFX-post in batch. Create a session file where you output the valve in question to a .csv file then run it using the batch CFX-post command.
