hi i'm having the following problem:
i simulating flow (groundwater) through different regions (Qty 3) of permeability and tried the following: 1. single mesh with 3 different sub domains each with different permeability 2. single mesh with 3 different domains each with different permeability 3. 3 separate mesh of the different permeability linked with interfaces which should be the best configuration? methods 1 and 2 yield results that are relatively similiar 2% difference methods 3 yield results that are vastly different..almost 85% difference i'm interested in the pressure at my inlet so measure results are from there. thanks |

no mesh problems. i basically took a large mesh and sectioned it into equal parts so fitting is okie.

can yo utell where the problem is going wrong? i.e. is it at the interfaces? or during one particular domain etc. can you make a slice that would show where the differences start to occur and help you decide where your problem is?
