Hello everybody!

I am simulating an 3D air flow through a brush seal in a steam turbine. I try to refine my mesh in particular locations. For this i use the function "Refinement" to increase the dense in two directions. When I try to write a solver file for CFX5 I always get following error message:

(What a long error-message) I don't know what this message is trying to tell me and what I can do to make it work. Advices are welcome. Thanks a lot, greetings Christian

I think not even the Oracle of Delphi knows what ICEM error messages are trying to tell you. My favourite is the "Warning: Application terminated with base class destructor" or something similar which is the message from the Prism mesher telling you that everything went just fine....

Anyway, jokes aside, that message just says the output translator crashed, not why.

You might check to see if the translator left some kind of log file behind which might have more info.

Also running the mesh checks usually is a good way to get information on what may be the cause, since the crash is propably caused by some abnormal element that causes the translator to get lost.

Unless of course you are running into memory problems, like disk full or no RAM left. But I'm shure you already checked those, right?
