Hi, Guys.

Can someone advise how to change Turbulent Schmidt number for transport equations in CFX10? Thanks!

Add the following CCL to your HEAT TRANSFER MODEL object. The transport equations will pick up this value as well as the heat transfer equation. This won't work if Option = Isothermal.

HEAT TRANSFER MODEL: Option = Thermal Energy TURBULENT FLUX CLOSURE:

Option = Eddy Diffusivity

Turbulent Schmidt Number = 0.9 END END

Dear Terry,

Since you ask for Turbulent Schmidt Number, I guess you want to modify the turbulent model equations such k, epsilon or omega.. Those are in the GUI under TURBULENCE MODEL/ADVANCED CONTROL/(K/EPSILON/RS) COEFFICIENTS..

If you want to change the Energy equation you must add the CCL manually, and it is called Turbulent Prandtl Number instead.. For mass fraction, the value for energy is used for consistency.

Good luck Opaque.

Thanks all.

I want to change the Turbulent Schmidt Number of additinal varible transport equations(to ignore the effects of turbulent diffusion), so Opaque's method should be good for me.

Regards!

Terry
