translational periodicity

Hi everyone.I defined translational periodicity by setting offset ,( 200 0 0 ) in set global mesh size for the periodic faces apart 200mm. but at the time of mesh check for periodicity it gives amessage ' there is no periodicity defined in the mesh',please suggest me how to define periodicity thank u
