Hi
Im trying to find a way to calculate the frontal area of an object for evaluating its drag coefficient. I have not found any mechanism within CFX for this (had hoped that frontal area might be available in the function calculator as 'area', with x,y, or z perspective to calculate front/side/top projected area). Is there any mechanism within CFX to calculate frontal area? Thank you Stefan |

The normal vectors for boundary patches are accesable from within user cel and user fortran. That and the area variable are what you need.
