Default powder accumulation of gassolid flow in packed bed

Dear there,

I am modelling a gas-solid flow in a packed bed. the gas-solid flow is introduced into the bed through lateral inlet and powder will be accumulated at the corner of the bed. I am using two fluid method. BUT 1. the convergence is really hard, if compaction parameter of solid pressure force is setting to be over 20. 2. the accumulation zone can not be produced by this model. could anyone (say Nigel - CFX UK) help me out and through this?

can kinetic theory simulate the powder accumulation at the corner? should I use non Newton fluid to model the powder accumulation?

any suggestions or case example are greatly appreciate.
