I am trying to plot shear stresses on a centrifugal pump.

In order to do that I need to define some equations and create a new variable but I cannot find the short name that CFX uses (e.g, ke for Turbulence kinetic energy) for the velocity gradients du/dx,du/dy...dw/dz and I need them for my equations.

If anyone knows the short names for the velocity gradients please let me know.

You should be able to find a VARIABLES file in you cfx directory, ie ANSYSinc/cfx10/etc/VARIABLES

This will give you all the short and long names of the variables you have access to.

do you want use shear stresses to compute friction and windage? If yes could u give me your methodology? I am working on this subject and i would want to compare my methodology with others. thank u alejandro
