PARTICLE TRACKING

SIR,

IN PARTICLE TRACKING, IS IT POSSIBLE THAT IF THE PARTICLE STRIKE THE WALL IT IS SETTLE DOWN IN THE DOMAIN? HOW?

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CALCULATE THIEIR NUMBERS?

THANS FOR CO-OPERATION

Hello Vipin,

it is possible to remove a particle when it hits a wall. You need to change the values of the restitution coefficients to zero. You can find them within the boundary condition for the wall -> "Fluid Values" -> "Velocity" -> perpendicular/parallel coefficient. In CFX-Post you can calculate the mass flux of particles through the wall. But the output-file gives you the number of particles which where collected on the wall. I don't know if there is a possibility in CFX-Post to get the particle number of collected particles on the wall.
