Ansys mesh and CFX

Hello,

I am defining cm,,node or cm,,elem in Ansys in order to read the mesh in CFX and to apply the BC. One big problem is that very often the assemblies appearing in CFX are much more than the one that I have defined or even some of them are missing, which makes my work of defining domains in CFX and applying loads and BC very hard. All the volumes in Ansys are glued. Does someone of you have the idea why this happens? Thanks a lot.

Can u please be a little on the clearer side. I am not able to understand what you mean by "cm"?

O.K. this is th way that one can prepare the model in ANSYS so that the mesh could be imported in CFX. This means that all different materials or solids, or fluids are group in element components in ANSYS and for the boundary conditions and loads one needs to make node components, and exactly the same components shoud appear in CFX as assemblies.

Did I make it more clear now?

As far as i understand u r getting more than one assemblies in CFX Pre instead u must get one and all ur boundariries shud be inside that aseembly. You can glued your boundaries by merging nodes and deleting duplicate elements in ICEM Mesh. Then u will get onlyone assembly. is this ur problem?
