homogeneous model or inhomogeneous model

Can someone tell me the tank filling problem is homogeneous model or inhomogeneous model? It is some liquid fill into a vessel with air in it at the beginning. If it is inhomogeneous model,how to set the nusselt Number?Thank you.

Homogeneous is generally more appropriate unless there is a lot of spray generation.
