Hi,

While running a simulation how can you tell that the mesh is responsible for failing the run? In my case I cant get passed 17 iterations due to several problems since there are many parameters to be changed but how do I understand that finally can be the mesh? Even if I have checked the quality and everything in ICEM.

Regards.

You can launch again the simulation and save a backup file just before the failing: checking the result wil help you finding the cause! The presence of elements with negative volume (or a volume too small) or too much high lenght ratio, and non-overlapping interface elements are the most common problems for a mesh. If you ave checked everything, just try to change the number of nodes (also +1!) and the problem should vanish. F
