Dear all,

After waiting almost 2 days to save my quick animation of streamline - velocity, suddenly I received the following error message:

-------------- Aborting due to unexpected error. Socket error, Remote engine protocols: Communication error, unexpected end of transmission from engine, expected status code. ----------- And afterwards in CFX DOS prompt starts to run the following:

Erorr in Write Token: writing token key

--------------

Does someone have any idea what this is?

Thanks a lot. Anna

Hi,

I suggest you to try the method of Michael Bo Hansen: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forum/cfx_...cgi/read/13115

I assume you are doing the transient simulation. Save the streamline plot for each timestep into png file and make an animation file from there. Quality is better and you could at least get some results if socket errors pop up.

And if you save individual frames in noncompressed format you can use something really better than mpg. Techsmith Camtasia format for example.
