simple export problem

Hi all !

I just started using ICEMCFD mesh generator. I have a simple problem when I write the solver file for CFX version 10 and find that when I choose the type of solver as ANSYS CFX. The program then produces a output file with extension .cfx5 which obviously does not work with CFX version 10. What do I need to do ?

Thanks

Steven

Hi,

You have to load mesh as "ICEM CFD" (in CFX-Pre mesh format). The program (CFX) should recognize your ".cfx5" file.

Pay attention to mesh units

If you run ICEM CFD in Workbench, you will get output file in .gtm format when you select ANSYS CFX as solver.

I think his problem should be solved by choosing the right format as Ermanno said.
