Total Head Pump Prediction

I'm working with a pump stage. As suggested by cfx edited documents, I'm setting inlet condition as relative pressure, and outlet as mass flow rate. Can I expect the simulation to produce an accurate value of pressure averaged on the outlet area?

Furthermore, supposing I could get total head pump by experimental data, should i set it as outlet boundary condition and mass flow rate as inlet? Thanks

Hi. In such a case I always use mass flow inlet/average static pressure outlet as the bc. If your mesh is fine enough to include the both leakage rooms and has the domain interface placed at the proper place, the error of the head will be smaller than 3%.

And I don't think specify only the outlet using experimental data will do you any good.

Any suggestion for the domain interface placing? Thanks.
