Centrifuge stratification
 

Hey all,

I am attempting to simulate a centrifuge stratifying 2 dispersed solids (sand and lead particles) in water. The centrifuge is open, meaning there is a free surface between the water and the air.

What I'm thinking is a free surface, multiphase, homogenous simulation with the air and water as continuous and the sand and lead as dispersed.

Does anyone have any input on this? I'm not sure if such a simulation will take forever or if there is a way to simplify it?
