2-D mesh in ansys
 
is it possible to build a 2-D mesh in ansys like fluent. if it please explain how? thanq

No, it is not possible. CFX only handles 3D meshes. If you like to do a 2D simulation, you have give your mesh a thickness of 1 element. Then you can set the boundary conditions at both planes to symmetry.

1.Make 2D geometry and Mesh it. 2.Extrude it by one element. 3.Define as symmetry on both side.
