turbulent kinetic energy

Hi everybody,

I don't understand how I can see turbulent kinetic energy contours at no slip walls. Should not the values be zero at the walls? (I am using CFX10)

Thanks,

Mike

Hi,

If you integrate the turbulence model to the wall it should be zero or near zero. If you use wall functions it will the value at the first node which will not be zero as it is assumed to be in the log layer.
