How to import gtm-file into icem?

Hi,

I have a gtm-file, that can be read in cfx-pre. But I need to modify the coordinate-axis direction and the names of the mesh-surfaces.

How can I reimport the gtm-file into ICEM V10 to make the modifications?

Thanks, Aloise

Write a def file out of Pre, then load the def file into ICEM CFD. Just create a dummy domain to do so.

Thanks,

I did it that way, but I thought there must be another one.

Now I`m importing the def-file via file-import mesh-from CFX5 But do you know what "Set face parts from": BC Patches or Surface means?

The entry in the helpfile didn`t help me a lot.

There are two types of 2D regions in the def file, the boundary regions and your mesh regions (which may or may not be used for the boundar regions). The dialog is simply asking which you want to appear in ICEM CFD.
