How to generate one-to-one connections?

Hi,

I hope that this is not too stupid. I have to solve a heat transfer problem in which I use four seperate domains - three solids and one fluid. To be sure that the heat transfer from solid to fluid and other way round is calculated very well I want to use 1:1 connections at the domain interfaces. At first I meshed the fluid domain (tet+prism with ICEM 10.0.1) and then cut out the surface meshes that build the interfaces with the three solids. Afterwards I used these cut-out shells to mesh the solid domains (with "from mesh & geometry"-option). Now as I try to make up one-to-one connections in cfx-pre the program responds with an error message when writing out the def-file. It says that it is only possible to do GGI-connections. I checked the surf-meshes at the interfaces but they fit perfectly. Even when I set the mesh fitting tolerance to 0.02 (the highest recommended tolerance due to the manual) the error message appears. Does anybody have an idea what I could have done wrong?

Thanks a lot,

Timmy

Use the mesh conformality option in edit mesh - merge menu in ICEMCFD.
