pipe flow with normal injection through holes

The problem is: Water flows into a pipe which is closed at another end and has hundreds of holes along the axial length. The injection of water to the surrounding fluid from these holes is the major concern. The meshing of hundreds of holes and the region of the jets seems almost impossible to me. Any suggestions about meshing or alternatiev simulation approaches are highly appreciated!

Thanks and Regards!

Fred

Do a single hole first. Then mesh a slice of the cylinder. Then do the whole thing.

And make sure whatever it is you want to know is worth all this effort.

Simulating hundreds of interacting VOF droplets will require a supercomputer.

Hi,

If geometry is symmetric, then use a sector of geometry to mesh & in CFX use periodic Boundary conditions.
