ICEM Help

Hi, I'm meshing a 3D airfoil block, so many people told me that ICEM is the best choice to generate a C-grid. The steps I follow are:

1) Import .iges geometry model from PROE. 2) Creating a 3D block. 3) Split the block to create blocks over the airfoil surface, the trailing edge and the leading edge. 3) Move vertices to points. 4) Associate edges to curves. 5) Set global surface parameters. 6) Set parameters over the airfoil surface.

I've a few questions:

a) If i'm gonna make a 2D analisys with CFX, how can I say to ICEM that i just want one element thick? b) How to make a goog refinement? c) The steps I'm following are OK?

Sorry for the long post, but I really need this project work.

Thanks in advance,

Andres.

Re: ICEM Help

1) Set the seeding in the Z direction to one cell.

Re: ICEM Help

Build 2d mesh first, then use "extrude" to create 3d mesh for one layer.
