how to use Transient Statistics/averaging results!

Thanks in advance, houman

Good question.

You might be able to write out the transient variable from Post as 3D profile, and then initialize the case with the profile. I think there was a tech tip on the CFX site about doing something similar some time ago.

Maybe someone else knows a better way...

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for your message, I tried to use the EXPORT option in Post, but it doesn't work!! Could you pls, give me more details on this or give me the link of the tip you mentioned (in CFX site)!?

Best regards, houman

Check the ANSYS customer portal:

www1.ansys.com/customer

Then on the LHS, Product Information > ANSYS CFX

Then from the top menu, ANSYS CFX > Technical Tips

Then look for the one from Sept. 23, 2004 "3D Interpolation in CFX-5"

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for the info... but, unfortunately we don't have a support package anymore (in the uni.) so, I can not log in into the ANSYS customer portal!!!

Would you kindly send me the text of the link which you mentioned per email?!

many thanks, Houman
