RSM Vs SST

Default RSM Vs SST

I have a mesh I am using with SST model. It has a Y+ below 2. Can I use the same mesh with an RSM model for comparision? But what about wall treatment? Y+ seems to be low, so I cannot use a wall function approach. Is it acceptable to use such a mesh of low Y+ with RSM?

Dear Omer,

Try using the BSL Reynolds Stress model.. That uses the omega equation similar to SST.. The mesh requirements should be similar..

Thanx a heap Opaque! Doing that right away. Just one more query though, isn't BSL Reynolds Stress Model a RSM-omega model rather than a variant of the simple RSM ?

It works like SST so: RSM omega in the b.l. RSM-epsilon away from the b.l.

It makes perfect sense to me now, that RSM omega is a good idea, I can go ahead and use it now.
