Default return a value for not existing volume in .cse

I am doing integration for numerous small volumes in post-processing. I used brute force approach to locate the centres of these volumes in .cse file but sometimes the volumes at some locations do not exist due to the complexity of the flow domain, i.e., several internal solid volumes where volume integration of variables of interest is not available. Then the integration won't continue. Is there any function to return a value for the existence of volumes so that I can do selective integration.

Thanks!
