FLoating pint error

I'm running a diffuser case with inlet mass flow and outlet pressure conditions and for some reason the solver exits with the error "Floating point exception : Overflow" I've tried running with a real low physical timescale but with no success. What could possibly be the problem. I thought it could be a High Mach number problem, but the solver gives no "High Mach number" warning as it normally does. Kindly help me out Thanks in advance Luke

Re: FLoating pint error

This is the error that i get c_fpx_handler: Floating point exception: Overflow

The problem is a diffuser, with inlet mass flow BC and outlet static pressure BC. The analysis goes on with no problems regards to divergence or reverse flow, but at a certain point it exits with this error, with no warning whatsoever.

What could be the problem?

CFX 11.0 64bit gives that. CFX 10.0 64bit does not. 11.0 possibly came out too early.

Re: FLoating pint error

Refining mesh would be my way.

Re: FLoating pint error

If refining the mesh doesnt help. I would switch the outlet boundary condition to an opening and run for couple iterations before switching it back to outlet.
