My question is simple. I have a simulation of water falling from a pipe and flowing on a channel. I want to see the height of the water in different planes. So I thought I could made a polyline as intersection between a plane and the isosurface (interface) and then make a chart with this polyline. But I only can create a polyline as intersection of the surface and a boundary, not any plane. So, how can I make? Do I have to create in pre a false sub-domain to use it after as boundary in post?

Hi Juan Martin,

Create a Contour of Volume Fraction on your plane. Set the contour to go from 0 to 1 with three contour levels. This will give you a contour line at 0.5. Next, create a polyline from the contour level.

(FYI: You can also make surfaces from contour levels by creating User Surface in this manner.)

Regards, Robin
