FSI (negative volume element)

Hi there

I am currently doing 2 way FSI simulation on the flexible wing, and the deformation of the wing is rather large, which always leads to error in the CFX solver due to negative volume element.

I was wondering, is the re-meshing the only way to solve the problem? Or there is other way I could do? (may be added some mathematical model to prevent the mesh going to negative volume?)

Anyway, thanks for reading my questions.

Have you tried smaller timesteps and/or playing around with the mesh stiffness?

Hi Johnny

I haven't try with the mesh stifness, which I was thinking, it might solve the problem, anyway, I will give a try (because I am just new user to CFX )

anyway, thanks :)
