cut wave

Hi there, I try to do a cut wave in free surface in a fast hull (as American's Cup) simulation to compare with expermental data. The wave obtained with CFX has a shift in Z coordinate. However the wave have the same shape. Could be some grid problem (I need more fine grid) I don`t have idea why ?

Some help??

thanks

Re: cut wave

I assume the z direction is up/down. Is the total force in the z direction on your hull equal to the weight of the hull? If not, then the hull would want to move up/down if it were allowed to do so.
