I was wondering that what is the 'advection time' in the CFX Output file? Actually I'd like to know the average time that fluid particles spend in the domain, can CFX tell us about this?

Solve an extra PDE for the residence time and use its average value. Procedure is covered in one of the usercel examples.

The output file residence time is just a value derived from dimensional analysis e.g. domain volume / flow rate through volume.
