AMD 64 FX-series Windsor
Hi All,
did anyone test the AMD 64 FX-7series (Windsor)? According to the site http://www23.tomshardware.com/ this series shows the best performance on floating point operations. It is three times as fast as the Core2duo conroe. Gert-Jan |

"It is three times as fast as the Core2duo conroe."
Bullshit. Its just a standard K8 style core. You can easily judge/scale their relative performance from: http://www.fluent.com/software/fluen...lems/fl5lc.htm That chip is equivalent to an Opteron core ... just look for an appropriate clock speed in the benchmark data. Then compare it too a 3 GHZ Woodcrest core. |

Hi Joe,
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was looking to the memory floating points. It is better to look to the CPU speed. Gert-Jan |
