I have to move a 2d beam according to a prediscribed motion of sqrt(x)*sin(time)....I know how to write an udf in fluent using the define_grid_motion and run it....I am new to cfx....can someone tell me how this is done in cfx. i need this urgently. Thanks

In CFX you would first need to turn mesh morphing on in your domain. Once morphing is enabled, define a wall boundary condition on your beam and in the boundary motion field put enter you expression for the motion. The expression will be pretty much as you have written it here, although time is 't' and the argument to your sine function must be dimensionless.

Hey....thanks for the reply....as I earlier told you I am new to cfx...so I may ask some stupid questions here.

Firstly to enable mesh motion do I need to write a ccl expression like the one in tutorial 20. secondly mesh morphing??? i didnt get you.

Thanks Ravi
