Semipermeable wall
Hi!
I am running multiphase simulations and I believe it shoud be possible to model a wall which is permeable to only one fluid. That is, for one fluid it behaves as a wall and for the other as an outlet or opening. Does anyone know how to do this in CFX. I have seen that you can make the wall fluxes dependent on volume fraction, but I do not quite see how to make the wall semipermeable from that. Thanks for any help! - Terje |
Re: Semipermeable wall
It depends what you want to do:
If you want to model a membrane which allows a dispersed gas phase to escape, you can use the 'degassing' wall boundary option. This treats the boundary as an outlet for a dispersed phase and a no slip wall for a continuous phase. Johnson |
