Virtual mass

Hi all,

I am modelling a two phase flow of a gas and liquid through a nozzle. Experimental pressure match the simulations pretty good except where large pressure gradients are present (where the liquid slows down). I have to add virtual mass here but this does not work from a numerical point of view: the stability is very poor (explicit implementation?).

Any idea how I can perform a run with virtual mass?

Re: Virtual mass

You cannot. Contact CFX support. They are working on it. We tried everything to get it working in a similar case with no succes. Has to do with the linearization (or absence of it) of the source term.
